As we stride further into the summer, we are gifted with a huge list of new releases this week. Spanning a variety of genres, there are some sparkling summer anthems alongside rock giants. Whatever your taste in music, there’s something here for everyone and whether you’re listening on a beach in the Algarve or trying not to sweat to much in the office, we’re guaranteed you’ll enjoy them. The final handpicked selection of new music from June signals an incredible six months since we first began reviewing and showcasing new music to you all. We couldn’t have imagined that we would be where we are right now and we are so grateful to have such a brilliant following. Most of all, we feel it’s important to mention just how sensational the music of the past six months has been. With the heat of May continuing, some of the tracks we’ve highlighted are perfect for a May barbecue whilst others are just beautiful to relax to. There’s a consistent sense of wonder each year around this time at the end of July which is a wonder of how quickly the year is going. As we move further into the second half of 2017, we can truly say that we can’t wait for what is to come. To say that we have had some incredible music releases already is merely an understatement and the next few months promise massive releases from some of the world’s biggest artists. This week sees music’s most loved alternative band Arcade Fire return with their fifth studio album Everything Now whilst leading the singles releases are The Killers who release Run For Cover.

Each week we lie in hope that something special is going to come from just around the corner. Over the past month it has seemed as if something special has come every week in the form of sensational new tracks, beautifully refined albums and surprising comebacks and thankfully this week is no different. Leading the way this week is Lana Del Rey, who teams up with the huge rapper A$AP Rocky and Playboi Carter for latest track Summer Bummer, the fourth track to be released from the upcoming Lust For Life record.

Only a week ago, the first full day of music from 2017’s Glastonbury Festival was underway, a day which contributed to what was one of the greatest weekends of music in recent memory. As we finish June with a final list of music releases, it seems a great time to take a step back and appreciate just how great 2017 has been so far. Leading this week’s music releases are Arcade Fire, who release Signs Of Life, the Canadian alternative group’s third single from their upcoming fifth record Everything Now.

As we approach the summer, it seems as if celebrations are in order. The exam season is coming to an end for students, Glastonbury is just around the corner and a host of artists have just released new music for everyone to enjoy. Leading this week’s stunning collection of tracks are The Killers, who return for the first time since 2012 with The Man. Arcade Fire continue their preparation ahead of the release of upcoming album Everything Now, with the release of Creature Comfort.

We are staggeringly almost halfway through 2017 already and the standard of music we have had in the past five months is something we could have only dreamed of. As festival season approaches, the world’s biggest and best artists will be travelling around the world to perform to thousands of people. In light of recent events, we feel that it’s necessary to point out that no matter what happens, we will fight through it. For the people who died having seen their idol Ariana Grande perform in Manchester and for the people who died whilst just wanting to have a great night out in London, we need to continue living our lives to the fullest. The barbaric beliefs of Islamic extremism will never prevail over the love and unity of our society. Instead of destroying us, we are stronger than ever and we will continue going to see our favourite artists, some of which are on this list here. Who can believe that we are already six months into 2017? It’s been an incredible first half of the year and it looks like the music releases are continuing to be stronger than ever. This week sees Foo Fighters make a surprise return with the release of Run, whilst Canadian alternative outfit Arcade Fire lay down the foundations for their fifth album with Everything Now.
