The Release Radar 15/09/17: Foo Fighters, The Killers, Labrinth, Jessie Ware and more

Following last night’s spectacular Mercury Prize ceremony, we obviously have to give our upmost congratulations to Sampha, the well deserved winner of this year’s prize, whose debut album is a clear reason as to why new releases and debut albums are so pivotal to the music industry. Aside from the Mercury Prize, there’s a sensational list of new releases today, headed up by the incredible Foo Fighters, who release their seventh studio album Concrete & Gold, a record which combines the rock band’s signature sounds into one completely brilliant album. The Killers continue their teasing trickle of releases as well with Some Kind Of Love.

Another fine artist, Jessie Ware, releases her third single of the year in Alone. We urge you to focus on Ware this year as her upcoming record is sure to be one to surprise and delight. One of the UK’s best pop singer-songwriter’s, Labrinth, returns for the first time since 2014 with Misbehaving. Sia returns with yet another track made for a film, with Rainbow, released for The My Little Pony movie. Former One Direction star Niall Horan releases Too Much To Ask whilst garage legend Craig David releases Heartline.

The ever stunning Fall Out Boy release their third single of the year in The Last Of The Real Ones. Rock fans can rejoice as The XCERTS release yet another new single in Daydream as well as Enter Shikari returning with another new single in Rabble Rouser. Bjork, one of music’s most mesmerising artists to have ever performed, releases a new single called The Gate whilst Frightened Rabbit bring out Roadless. Weezer bring out Beach Boys whilst the ever brilliant Marilyn Manson releases WE KNOW WHERE YOU F***ING LIVE.

JP Cooper, one of the star’s of 2017, teams up with the world conquering giant that is Stormzy for Momma’s Prayers. Former Disney Channel star Nick Jonas releases Find You whilst the incredible Rex Orange County releases Edition. Oscar and the Wolf return this week with the release of their third track of the year in Runaway. The artistic brilliance that is Four Tet brings out a new single called The Gate whilst King Krule also returns with Dum Surfer.

The Despacito famed Luis Fonsi teams up with Charly Black for Party Animal whilst Lorde collaborates with Khalid and Post Malone for a remix of her track Homemade Dynamite. Rae Morris releases Do It whilst child sensation and America’s Got Talent winner Grace VanderWaal releases So Much More Than This. For new artist fans, Isaac Gracie releases Silhouettes Of You whilst Leo Kalyan releases Temptation and Julia Jacklin releases Cold Caller. One of our favourite rising star’s, Jordan Rakei, brings out a new single called Goodbyes.

Alongside Foo Fighters’ Concrete and Gold, there is a long list of album releases from the likes of Prophets of Rage who release their self-titled debut album, Galantis who release The Aviary, Angust & Julia Stone with Snow and Arcane Roots with Melancholia Hymns. Former Mercury Prize winner Benjamin Clementine releases I Tell A Fly, Ariel Pink releases Dedicated to Bobby Jameson whilst one of the best upcoming band’s, Sløtface, release Try Not To Freak Out. Former pop star Anastasia releases Evolution whilst Ringo Starr brings out Give More Love. Rap fans have something to rejoice about with Gucci Mane’s new record Mr. Davis whilst old school fans can enjoy Wyclef Jean’s new record Carnival III: The Rise And Fall Of A Refugee.
