Red Hot Chilli Peppers and The Weeknd announced as headliners for Lollapalooza Paris in July.
In the last 24 hours, the Lollapalooza organisers have announced that for the first time, there will be a chain of the festival in Paris. Lollapalooza Paris will take place on July 22-23 and the first ever edition of the festival will be topped by US rock legends Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Canadian R&B sensation The Weeknd, who will bring new album Starboy to the French capital.
The festival will also see big slots for Imagine Dragons, who have been announced at many European festivals this year, as well as Pixies and alt-j, who are rumoured to be releasing new material in the coming months.
Two big slots for the 2017 festival will come from Lana Del Rey, with a rare festival slot for 2017 and Liam Gallagher, whose slot is the first live performance announced for his solo career. The slot asks many a question such as to whether the former Oasis frontman will play Oasis material or Beady Eye songs.
Elsewhere, there will be spectacular live sets from The Hives, who are world famous for their live shows, DJ Snake, London Grammar, Skepta, Glass Animals, Crystal Fighters and breakthrough R&B singer Tiggs Da Author. This might be the first edition of the Paris branch of Lollapalooza but it’s one to certainly watch out for with one of Europe’s best line ups so far.
